Q. Can you match the colours of my logo if I provide the printed pantone colour reference?

A. Pantone colours can be matched to the nearest embroidery thread. You will see from the embroidery proof the exact colours we intend to use. Back to the top

Q. I obtained a formal quote. How long is it good for?
A. Quotes are honoured for 30 calendar days

Q. Once I've reviewed my proof, what next?
A. A written approval or explanation of alterations/changes needs to be emailed or faxed to us before we can move the job into production.

Q. What if there are changes needed after I receive my proof?
A. You should advise us in writing of the alterations or changes you require. If these are significant we will send you another proof to approve. I the alterations are minor we may ask you to sign off the original proof.

Q.How can I get my files to you?

  1. There are four main methods:
  • Media (CD, DVD, etc)
  • Email
  • Post
  • In person

Q. What kind of files/programs do you accept/recommend?
A. For embroidery we can accept any file format (including jpegs, word documents. EPS files etc). For screen printing or transfers we would prefer to receive the logo as an EPS Illustrator file.

Q. Do you supply the garments? [Back to the top]
A. Yes we do, and there is a huge range to choose from - why not browse our Online Garment Catalogue - click here. If you have any queries or cannot find what you want, please contact us.

Q. Can we supply our own garments? [Back to the top]
A. Yes, you can.

Q. If we already have an embroidery disc, can we use that? [Back to the top]
A. Probably yes, we can use most standard embroidery formats.

Q. Do you have any stock designs that we can use? [Back to the top]
A. We have over 20,000 stock designs for you to choose from. Use the following link to browse the design catalogue. As a guide designs for left breast position would typically be no larger than about 85mm wide or tall and typically have less than 10,000 stitches.

Q. Does it cost extra to have more than one colour in the design? [Back to the top]
A. No it doesn't. Unlike screen printing where every colour costs money, the number of colours in embroidery makes no difference to the cost. Our machines can cope with 12 colours, but most designs have 6 or fewer colours. With transfer printing we can produce full-colour photographic type images for no extra.

Q. How do you turn our logo into stitching? [Back to the top]
A. The process is called digitising and the quality of the final embroidery rests very much on the skill of the digitiser. Using specialist software the digitiser coverts the image into instructions for the embroidery machine to know where to stitch, what type of stitch to use and much more. Many people can digitise, but not all of them can digitise well. Our digitiser has been doing our work for a number of years and has received many favourable comments from customers who have previously had designs digitised elsewhere.

Q. We've already got a logo, can we use that? [Back to the top]
A. Most certainly. We need a good quality colour copy of your logo and the size you want it. Our preference is for the artwork to be in the form of a PC graphics file, e.g. JPEG, TIFF etc., although we can use a paper copy as the artwork. The more complex the design the bigger we need the image, if possible real size or larger.

Q. If we just want some text, is there a set up charge? [Back to the top]
A. Providing we can match your font to one of our existing fonts, there is no set up charge. If we can't match it, then there will be a set-up charge. To see some of our most popular fonts, click here. This is not a complete list, but shows the fonts that give the best results.

Q. Are there any guidelines for embroidered text to look good? [Back to the top]
A. The minimum size for text is 5mm high, use a simple font that doesn't have too many narrow areas. Ideally the size should be at least 8mm high and in a block font.

Q. If we come back for more embroidery, does it have to be set up again? [Back to the top]
A. No. Once the design has been set up, we store the embroidery file ready for future use. You only pay for the actually embroidery to be done.
